It’s hard to inspire confidence with your customers when your website is down. (“Maybe they won’t notice? Wait—that’s even worse.”)

You want to give your customers 24/7 access to your site, app, or any other digital service—but consistent uptime seems impossible when your staff is only available 10 hours per day.

If only there was a way to monitor outages outside of working hours without burdening your support team.

Introducing iLert.

At-a-glance

Overview

iLert is an uptime monitoring platform that helps you respond faster to critical alerts, manage on-call schedules, and communicate incidents via status pages.

With iLert, you can monitor uptime, respond to incidents, and communicate them via status pages using a single application.

Get alerts for issues from any monitoring or ticketing tool, and acknowledge them on the same channel with a single click or tap.

You’ll be able to receive notifications from multiple channels including the iLert mobile app, WhatsApp, Slack, Microsoft Teams, SMS, and phone calls.

With the priority-based notification rules, you can also create engaging alerting methods for things that require immediate action.

Notification settings

Get notified on multiple channels, and set custom notification rules based on the priority level of an alert.

You can share responsibility across your team and alert the right person using on-call management and escalations.

Create flexible on-call schedules for your team and manage individual schedules right from the mobile app.

iLert will send a reminder to each employee via SMS, push notification, and email before their shift begins, maximizing accountability and improving transparency.

Automatically deliver unnoticed alerts to the employee working the following shift, so nothing falls through the cracks.

On-call schedule

Create an on-call schedule that matches your team's way of operating.

You’ll be able to build trust and communicate incidents in seconds with status pages that are connected with your infrastructure.

Customize each page and make it your own by using your own domain and embedding your company logo.

And because iLert can connect to all your monitoring tools and alert sources, it can also deliver service warnings on autopilot.

Status pages

Status pages connected with your monitoring tool provide an overview of operational or broken services.

Monitor your entire online presence and know within seconds when downtime occurs across your webpages.

iLert supports multiple check types, including HTTP, TCP, ICMP Ping, and SSL certificate checks, so you can keep your website healthy 24/7.

Plus, you’ll never have to worry about false positives, because you’ll only receive alerts when your website is unavailable from two locations.

Thanks to the built-in root cause analysis, you’ll be able to run additional tests like traceroute to confirm an outage.

Uptime monitor

Monitor your website uptime through multiple check types, check intervals, and check locations.

When your website is down, you need your own Bat-Signal to alert the entire team about the ongoing emergency. (“Well, there goes my good night’s sleep.”)

iLert lets you monitor uptime, send alerts, and communicate issues via status pages, so you can solve the problem and keep your visitors happy.

Keep your website up and running.

Q: Hi, How many subscribers do we get per status page and is this allowance pooled across our pages?

Can we add more monitors for money in future?

Can we add manual items to status pages that we mark as up or down manually?

Q: The service seems useful.

But here are my concerns:

1- It doesn't work!
I registered for a free trial. From the registration form, I keep getting errors. I entered my email and I got an error that username (regardless of being labeled "email") had to be alphanumeric, even though it was! I didn't pass the registration step until I used a different email!

Afterwards, trying to add an alert source also doesn't work! Trying to add any source results in "Failed to create alert sources. Please try again." error! Would someone "alert" the creator??

2- Limits seem reasonable for individuals, but they are really low even for small businesses with serious, mission critical operations. I know some alert channels are unlimited, but for most part the whole point of the tool is promptness, which requires convenience and flexibility.

I couldn't reach anything beyond adding an alert source to see if anything else arises. But my impression so far is that I can't rely on such unstable and limited service.

Kindly comment

A: Hi mustafam,

Thanks for your feedback! Can you please reach out to support@ilert.com with your registration issue? To register for a free trial, you only need to enter your name, email and subdomain for your iLert account.

Regarding the limits: we have no plans to change these. If you live in the US or Canada, I recommend to use our mobile app that also supports critical notifications with custom sounds that bypass your phone do-not-disturb mode.

Hope this helps,
Birol
